Our Cincinnati Staycation

This year we stayed home for vacation and experienced the sights around our new city of Cincinnati.

The first day it rained, so we went to the movies to see "G Force." Then we went to the mall to a place called "Krazy City." It's an indoor playplace with arcade games, go karts, bowling, mini golf, and rides. The girls and Jason rock climbed with flip-flops! We had a "krazy" time!

Sunday we went to the Cincy Zoo. We saw it was "one of the top 100 things to do with your kids before they grow up." (no pics)
Monday & Tuesday we checked in to a local hotel called "The Great Wolf Lodge", which is an indoor water park amongst other things. It was a really neat hotel , and we all had a great time swimming and sliding.
Wednesday we rested at home b/c we were so worn out from the last 2 days. We went to see another movie..Ice Age 3. Afterwards, we bought a new Wii game called "Hottest Party" ( dance revolution). We had so much fun dancing on these mats and trying to keep up with the arrows. Too fun! Anytime we had an extra break in our plans, we pulled those dance mats out, and played for a while!

Thursday, we went to an outlet mall about an hour from our house and shopped. It was another rainy day...yuck!

Friday we went to the COSI museum in Columbus...Center of Science and Industry. It's the #1 science museum for kids in the nation. It was interesting and the girls and Jason loved it. I was bored to tears, but tried to be a good sport. I hate science. ;o)

Saturday we attended our first ever Cincinnati Reds Game at the Great American Ballpark. We all had a good time and ate at least one of everything on the menu. Hotdogs, pretzels, pizza, cotton candy, M & M's, Cracker Jacks, cokes...you name it. The food was the best part! They lost the game and scored nothing after the 2nd inning. B...or....iiiing. We were reminded why we're not baseball fans.
We had a great week and learned a lot about our new city in the process. Good times, great memories.

Your stayvacation looks like it was fun. Kristi, what was your favorite part besides the food at the ballpark? I can tell from the pictures that Jason had a great time. I'd like to visit Kings Island or the Great Wolf place sometime. That would be fun with you all. Take care and we will see you soon.

There was no favorite part besides the food! Ha! I had a great time too, but I'm always the one behind the camera!
