Cincy Wedding

Today we traveled for a wedding in Cincy. Jason's cousin, Eric, got married today. The girls were very interested in the ceremony details.

Meeting Halfway

We met halfway to see Mamaw and Papaw last night. We were missing home. It was great to see them mid-week and get hugs and kisses. Thanks Mamaw and Papaw for the icecream!

Yesterday, I went to get Mariah's cheerleading pictures made while Jason took Madison to her first soccer practice of the season. Afterwards, we went to a Sunday School social at a local KAO campground. They had these low seat bikes that we all had a BLAST riding. The girls got really good at it even though they were difficult to handle. It entertained them until Madison had a fall on the rocks (she was hitching a ride on the back of bike). Her whole back got scratched up and that was the end to the riding. My momma always said, "Somebody's gonna get hurt."

We love school!

Wednesday night, Jason came home with flowers and a note and surprised me by telling me he took the next day off! How sweet! The girls went to school and we had the whole day together- a date DAY! Thanks Jay for your thoughtfulness and a wonderful day! You're an awesome husband!

Go Patriots!

Mariah started cheering last week for the football team called the Patriots. She loves going and we all learn her cheers when she gets home as she reteaches what she's learned.

Madi played on the playground equipment while she practiced. She loves the monkey bars, and boy is she all muscle!

First Day of School

They're off to 2nd grade today. We decided to split them up this year into separate classes, however they are with 2 teachers that work very closely with one another. They were so nervous this morning, but excited to see their old friends too.

Super Summer Celebration!!!

Today was the official last day of summer for the girls. So, we decided to celebrate all day long! After breakfast, we started a non-stop day of play. Card games first, UNO, Old Maid (my personal favorite), and Go Fish. Then, off to the store to get Madi's soccer gear for the season. By 10 am we were already jumping at an inflatable bounce zone. After some minor burns on the equipment (we were sliding down fast!), and bandages (including me), we came home for lunch. I decided to spend the whole day doing nothing but getting into their world- no phone calls, no chats with neighbors, no computer. I played Barbies, duckies, house x2 (each one wanted a turn to be the mom), rode bikes around the neighborhood, played outside in the sandbox, and completed a puzzle. By the end of the afternoon, I was pooped! I have a load of dishes still in the sink from breakfast, laundry on the chair that needs folding, and a finger swipe test that would come back positive for dust! They don't care about that, and how sweet it is to have special time with my kids. They're only young once- and how it goes by so fast!

A narrow path about 50 yards long and not very tall. The rocks were smooth from all the bodies who have polished them over the years. We were about 310 feet below the surface. Wow!

Vacation

We're back home ... and it sure is good to be here! Vacation was a lot of fun and a lot of relaxing! It's always good to be home again though. I'll post pictures of our week later...
