Madison Got Free Candy!
My computer has been acting bonkers for the last several days, and I feel lost without connection to my email, internet, blogger account, the outside world. It's amazing how connected we are these days with computers. Pretty soon, Jason starts an online Masters' program that is going to require a reliable computer. We're gonna have to break down and buy one soon. Until then, my blogs will be random.
This weekend we went to a cookout/bonfire over at a friend's house from church. We ate s'mores and sat outside during inclement weather. The sirens were going off, and we sat there in our lawn chairs hanging out around a fire bowl. I was the only one concerned. We had a fire fighter in our group that assured us that in Indianapolis the sirens sound when there is a thunderstorm approaching. I finally convinced everyone to come inside, and we went home in a hurry. Mom, if you're reading this, you taught me well. Sure enough, roofs were blown off, hail the size of golf balls, and lightning hit some house down the street from our neighborhood. We were safe though!
Saturday we had the Smith's come visit from Louisville. We met up at the Indy Zoo and hung out for the day. Madison was lucky enough to find some candy out of a machine! Free Food!
After the zoo, we came back to our house and swam in the neighborhood pool. Well, the kids swam and the adults ate pizza and cookies. :o) We had a great time hanging out with old friends!
